Nicolae Serban, started to work when he came back from the army, and really embraced artistic wood carving after his 25th birthday.

His sculptures are considered naïve art. He also makes various traditional objects, like spoons, crosses and wool spindles. He also works on the famous Maramures gates.

Serban sells his products in shops and fairs. He has had local exhibitions, and has taken part in collective exhibitions as well, in Finland, the UK, Germany, Hungary and USA.

He has more then 300 works in private collections around the world.
